Ulva White Ceramic Paper Bag Vase

A white ceramic vase shaped like a paper bag — creased down the sides, crumpled at the corners, with the top edge folded over as if someone had just rolled it shut.

Key Features

• Paper Bag Form: The shape is a plain grocery bag, standing up, with the folds and creases modelled into the clay so it looks soft and is not.
• Folded Top Edge: The rim is turned over rather than cut flat. It is the detail that sells the illusion.
• White Ceramic: One colour, white, so the creases show as shadow rather than as pattern.
• Flowers or Not: Holds a bunch of stems like a bag would, or stands empty as a small joke on a shelf.
• One Version: White, one size, one price.

Why You'll Love It

• People pick it up expecting paper. It is the best part.
• Stems lean in it the way they lean in a real bag on the bench.
• White on a plaster shelf, the creases do all the work.
• It is a vase that is also a small sculpture, and it costs what a vase costs.
• Check whether the interior is glazed before filling it with water — if in doubt, use a liner.
