Sable Blackened Live-Edge Wall Shelf

A floating shelf with its natural live edge left intact, charred to a deep black so the grain reads as texture rather than colour.

Key Features

• Live Edge Retained: The natural contour of the timber is left uncut along the front, with pronounced sculptural undulations.
• Charred Black Finish: A heavily blackened surface closer to shou sugi ban than a painted coat — the grain stands up in relief.
• Concealed Mounting: Hidden brackets, so nothing shows once it's up.
• Individual Character: Grain and edge profile differ on every piece.
• Four Lengths: 40cm to 100cm.

Why You'll Love It

• The black makes the live edge read as a shape rather than a wood sample.
• Against a pale wall the shelf almost disappears and the objects float.
• Mounting hardware is properly hidden — no brackets, no keyholes.
• Every one is different along that front edge, which you only see up close.
