Flint Matte Black Stacked Pebble Side Table

A side table that looks like a stack of smooth river pebbles balanced one on another, finished in matte black, with a flat round top and a bulbous base that keeps it planted.

Key Features

• Stacked Pebble Form: The pedestal is built as a column of rounded, slightly irregular stones, each one a different size, so the silhouette is soft and lumpy rather than straight.
• Matte Black Finish: No sheen. The light falls off each pebble gently, which is what makes the stack read as stone.
• Flat Round Top: The top pebble is flattened to give a usable surface for a lamp, a drink or a book.
• Bulbous Base: The lowest pebble is the widest, so the centre of gravity sits low.
• Two Options: Black, or a second option the supplier lists as Colour Mixing. The photographs show the black.

Why You'll Love It

• It is the piece people walk over to touch.
• Matte black beside a linen sofa is a good, quiet contrast.
• The top is flat enough for a glass and a lamp; it is not a dining surface.
• It reads as stone from across the room without weighing what stone weighs.
• The photographs show the black — the Colour Mixing option is not pictured, so order it knowing that.
